Posty Co.

I surprised Noah with tickets to go see Post Malone’s opening night of his stadium tour in Salt Lake. I bought the tickets pretty much the moment that I saw he would be performing in Salt Lake two days before Noah’s birthday.

A little backstory: Noah and I have tried to go to not one, not two, but THREE different concerts that were all cancelled or refunded for weather or other random reasons. We tried to see LEON, who I love, Dominic Fike, who Noah loves, and Cigarettes After Sex who we both love. It was so dumb.

So when I bought tickets to Post Malone, I was determined to make sure it actually happened.
We went and got dinner in Salt Lake at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Sol Agave, before the concert started. Typically you get your receipt at the time of purchase and then they send you the actual tickets via email a few hours before the concert. Not this time. I still hadn’t received our tickets by the time we sat down to eat so I dealt with a StubHub customer service rep over tacos and salsa.

It was *almost* another classic concert fail but our rep Daniel pulled through with new tickets and we made it in perfect time to see Jelly Roll open. And then Post Malone rocked our world. He is so cool. He was so awesome live and played almost all of our favorite songs.

Epic.
Post Malone and the fact that we finally got to knock a concert together off of our bucket list.

Happy Easter!

I’ve never really been that impressed with Spring. It just always seemed like a subpar Summer with allergies. However, since moving to Provo I have a newfound appreciation for Spring! There are trees full of blossoms on every corner and our peach tree is in full bloom! The lighter mornings are giving me new life and I’m dying to make the Vespa my new form of transportation for the next 6 months. I’m also learning to appreciate the symbolism of Spring, Easter, and new beginnings more as I age. Unfortunately our yard has been completely taken over by dandelions so Noah spent like 7 hours hand digging out them out of our front yard with a paint scraper.

For Easter dinner I made this carrot cake with candied carrot peels on the outside. I somehow managed to get a picture of the one spot with two broken peels. And I made Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding recipe.

Random but they were both a big hit!

Party in Parawon

We went to Parawon this weekend with some of our best friends, Noah and Elise.  Her parents own a house out there and they invited us for General Conference weekend! We went snowmobiling up in Brianhead, went on a muddy ATV canyon ride, ate good food, watched conference, and played a lot of Bank! I went off of a jump while snowmobiling and shattered my kneecaps. Not really but it felt like it.

I love our circle of people and I feel so grateful all of the time that we have such amazing friends and family.

Elise took this candid picture of me and Noah pre-snowmobiling.
Cute except that I look like a boy for some reason.

I’m dressing up as Noah’s helmet hair for Halloween. Hilarious hahaha. I love my guy.

Noah and Elise!
See you in Hawaii!!!

SEALS

Noah really admires Navy Seals. Their strength, mental resilience, and commitment is really inspiring to him. He always says that if I die young, he would join the Navy and become a Navy Seal. He also really likes guns.

I had a rough day, like one of those days where you feel like you want to cry yourself to sleep and then sleep for a whole month. So Noah suggested we go blow off some steam up at the gun range in Wallsburg, probably partly for me and partly because he really wanted to play Navy Seal and try out his new gun.

30 minutes and a box of bullets later, I honestly didn’t feel like I needed to cry and sleep for a month… Just for a night (:
